what kind of music do you listen to???

Jacksson_77

We will be full of patience Mr Freeones!
I listen to almost everything. Heavy Metal, dance, hip hop, classic rock, alternative, ballads, techno, country, oldies, classical, many kinds of electronic music, even medieval stuff - to me there are goodies in every genre.
But if I were allowed to listen to only one kind of music forever, I'd choose classic 80s rock.

It depends on the mood I am in, at the moment I prefer ballads and lovesongs (currently listening to Billy Joel - She's Always A Woman). No need to ask me why! :)

I listen to just about anything. Classic rock is a personal favorite. I like a little rap, a little country but mostly old country. I also like some of the heavy stuff. Hell, I'll even listen to weird things like polka and yodelling just to freak my friends out.

Baal

I'm touching myself right now!
Ooo, too many to name.
Blood Brothers are probably my favorite, and have been for the past year.
The Mars Volta
Liars
Aphex Twin
Modest Mouse
Bjork
Eminem (first two albums)
Dillinger Escape Plan
At the Drive-In
The Arcade Fire

but then you start getting into those bands that I really dig, but I wouldn't list as favorites
Interpol
The Strokes
Dismemberment Plan
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
Daft Punk...
the list goes on and on
as I said, too many to name

D'oh
I forgot the Flaming Lips
and, to a lesser extent, The Polyphonic Spree
Franz Ferdinand
Hot Hot Heat (and when I say that I mean the EP Knock Knock Knock, and the album Make up the Breakdown - elevator SUCKS)
Xiu Xiu
Refused
and then we can add some older rap
Slick Rick
Public Enemy
Wu Tang (mainly the first album, it gets a little less consistent after that)
And from Wu Tang we can go to Method Man, Red Man, Raekwon, GZA
Madvillian
Outkast (not The Love Below)

And then of course you have your Zepplin,
Pink Floyd,
the Doors,
Queen

Should I keep going...?

I am not in the thinking mode right now so that is all that I can post for now.

Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where, uh, Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums.
